About Michael

Michael offers a rich, warm, timbre with a bit of texture. Articulate, with an approachable confidence and textured gravitas - more storyteller than announcer.

He excels in layering sincerity, authority, and wit in commercial reads, as well as explainer and narration. He is comfortable in a timbre/texture age range anywhere from 30s to 70s. Natural accent is general American. Originally from Long Island, New York, Michael has lived his adult life in Charlotte, North Carolina, and can add a Northeastern or Southeastern US flavor with ease. Comfortable voicing narration for your C-Suite or your trucking fleet.

Michael has a home studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, with Rode NT1 mic, Gen. 4 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, and can provide finished, edited, high quality audio, typically within 24 hours.

When not in the booth, you can often find him behind the bar serving local, craft beer or hosting Nerd Nite Charlotte. Nerd Nite is a monthly event occuring in over 100 cities around the world. The "bosses" book three presenters to speak on anything from astrophysics to kaiju zoology, art and history to Dungeons and Dragons. It's like a college lecture, but the students are the general public and they're encouraged to drink in class.

He holds a Master's in Ethics and Applied Philosophy from UNC Charlotte, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Art History, also from UNCC. He was a faculty Teaching Assistant as both Graduate and Undergraduate, for Philosophy and Art History.

Prior to Voiceover, Michael worked for about 10 years in corporate IT Asset Management for  United Rentals; communicating with VPs and Legal, as well as Sales Managers and Field Service Techs. Prior to that, he had worked in Restaurant and Retail, from management, to sales, to bartending.
